Kirker Kubala, Inc. was a proud sponsor of this wonderful organization's annual golf outing in September, 2009. Along with two influential members of our lighting community, this foursome enjoyed a day on the links at Coldstream Country Club followed by dinner and both a live and silent auction. A heartwarming and moving speech was given by the 17-year old keynote speaker who's life had been immeasurably changed by these clubs' mission for enriching the lives of our local youth.
"In a world that has never seemed more threatening and devoid of promise for a
large number of America’s youth, the Boys & Girls Club of Clermont County
provides a tangible measure of hope. The Club offers young people what they
need and want most – adults who respect and listen to them; a safe environment
where they can have fun and be themselves; and interesting, constructive
activities that channel youthful energy into challenging pursuits. A youth
development strategy that fosters a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness,
and influence underlies all Boys & Girls Club programs and builds self-
confidence and self esteem.
Since 1996, the Boys & Girls Club of Clermont County has been dedicated to
providing quality youth programs and services that will enhance the lives and
shape the futures of youth of all backgrounds. Working with over 700 children
annually, the Club continues to strive to meet the ever-growing needs of these
young people. Each day, as many as 150 children are taking advantage of the
programs, activities, and services provided by the Club. Thousands more
children in Clermont County need and deserve access to these life-
changing programs.
Our Board of Directors and staff are committed to the dream of growing the Boys
& Girls Club of Clermont County, township by township, village by village, so that
all children aged 6 to 18 in Clermont County will benefit from trained, caring,
professional staff and volunteers who help young people take control of their lives,
envision productive futures and reach their goals"
